Winter Sonata is also known as Winter Love Story, Winter Love Song or Winter Ballad) that aired on KBS2 in 2002. Starring Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo, it is the second part of the season-themed Endless Love series directed by Yoon Seok-ho.
The series is about the son of a musician searches for information about his past and his biological father by moving to a rural city. There, he finds love instead. But then a tragedy befalls him and nothing was the same again.
2. Stairway to Heaven
Stairway to Heaven is a 2003 television series starring Choi Ji-woo, Kwon Sang-woo,Kim Tae-hee, and Shin Hyun-joon. Han Jung-suh (Park Shin-hye) and Cha Song-joo (Baek Sung-hyun) are childhood friends and have a special bond that blossoms into love. They both share the pain of losing a loved one: Song-joo’s father died in a traffic accident and Jung-suh’s mother died of eye cancer.
Song-joo marries Jung-suh, who is now blind, with the blessing of his mother and her father. Jung-suh tells Tae-hwa that her one wish is to see Song-joo’s face one last time. Both Song-joo and Tae-hwa ask a doctor to let them give Jung-suh one of their corneas, but the doctor tells them that they can’t take corneas from live donors. Tae-hwa wants to grant her wish at all costs and commits suicide via car crash to donate his cornea to her. After his death, Jung-suh has the operation and can see again. However, Song-joo finds out about Tae-hwa’s death and later on tells Jung-suh.

The daughter of a film director, Tae-young does her father’s wish and studied film in Paris, where she finds herself working as a housekeeper of Ki-joo to support herself.Unhappy with her services, he fires her. However, when he realizes that she is from the same hometown as the wife of a potential business partner, he hires her to act as his fiancée to warm up to his business partner. They agree for her to pretend as his fiancee, but the fake-fiancee plan backfires, and they part ways on bad terms in Paris. She leaves Paris to return to Seoul, where more twists and conflicts involving their families threaten to put their relationship on hold.

Something Happened in Balis is a 2004 television series, starring Ha Ji-won, Jo In-sung, So Ji-sub and Park Ye-jin. Lee Soo-jung (Ha Ji-won) is an orphan who works as a tour guide in Bali. She struggles to make ends meet and aspires to be rescued out of her current predicament by a rich and wealthy man.
Young-joo in turn is still in love with her ex-boyfriend Kang In-wook (So Ji-sub) whom she left so that she could be engaged to Jae-min (as pre-arranged by both parents).
Jae-Min sees them in bed in Bali living luxuriously after stealing $30 million from the company. He proceeds to shoot them both in a fit of rage and sadness. Soo-Jung tells Jae-Min she loves him with her last breath. Jae-Min, overwhelmed by sadness, walks to the beach and commits suicide with the same gun he used on In-Wook and Soo-Jung.

Temptation of Wife also called Lure of Wife, was a highly watched drama in South Korea broadcast by SBS. It began airing in 2008 and ending on May 1, 2009.
The series is a revenge drama story of a woman named Goo Eun Jae (Jang Seo Hee) who belonged in a not-so-rich but a good family who adopted her best friend Shin Ae Ri (Kim Seo Hyung) since her parents both died in an accident.
